Let My Boomers Go!
Impending workplace exodus of Baby Boomers is a concern for top execs.
A survey of 150 senior executives from some of the country’s largest companies reveals that the chief concern among CEOs is the impending retirement of masses of Baby Boomers, the oldest of which are 62 years old.
The Robert Half International survey found that 42 percent of executives named the Baby Boomer loss as the number one issue that will impact the workplace in the next generation. Just under one third (31 percent) of respondents cited global business interaction as the top issue, while about one in ten executives (11 percent) called outsourcing the biggest factor to affect the workplace in the future. Only five percent claimed remote work arrangements as the greatest issue facing the workplace in the next generation....
