Generation X is the most stressed, miserable cohort of all.
An Australian study examining generational cohorts and their levels of happiness deems Generation X a group of stressed out, unhappy, insecure types, wedged between their own young families and caring for their aging parents.
The Eye on Australia report found that members of Generation X are more likely than the national average to worry about family (40 percent versus 36 percent), and more likely to live paycheck to paycheck (57 percent versus 49 percent).
