Why men overspend? You guessed it—to get the girls.
Men spend money like a peacock shows his plumes, says a new study led by Daniel Kruger, PhD, an assistant research scientist in the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan.
Evolution is the reason and mating is the motivation behind excessive and showy spending, as males instinctively know that presenting themselves as having high “resource potential” will get them the women.
