Latinos are suffering a higher rate of stress than their black and white counterparts.
Latinos report a higher rate of stress than the national average, and it has been increasing, says a survey by The American Psychological Association (APA). Survey results indicate that money worries are the number one cause of their worries, and that 2009 brought half of Latinos stress (50 percent) compared to 2008, when 44 percent reported feeling stress. Even at the lower 2008 statistic, Latino stress levels still surpassed the national average, which is 42 percent, according to the APA.
