The affluent are spending on home decorating and DIY beauty treatments.
The affluent are keeping their dollars close to home, says a study by Unity Marketing which examined the luxury spending habits of the rich. As the economy continues to worsen, this previously untouchable socio-economic segment has begun to curb its spending, and is focusing its purchases on home-related items and services, according to the research.
