Women prefer prestigious men over dominant ones.
What do women want? They want men who have earned prestige over men who are domineering, say researchers who conducted a joint study from two U.S. universities. Men who have won the respect of their peers for their abilities and achievements are more impressive than ones who employ coercion and social dominance, findings show.
